The dust has now just about settled after our trip to LuxLive 2018 last week. We’ve had a sit down, filed all the new business cards and we’re now following up with all the great new people we met.
Exhibitions like LuxLive are a great opportunity for us to showcase some of our key products and get them into people’s hands. That’s especially important for products like our Ultra Slim emergency lighting module where you can really only appreciate its diminutive size in the flesh!
It’s also a great platform to tell people about our latest innovations, and things like our new LiFePO42020 Pledge – by 2020 we’ll no longer be using any NiCd batteries – we’re switching to LiFePO4 as a better choice for our customers’ pockets, and the environment.
We love meeting suppliers and customers alike under one roof. It’s an important forum for discussing the direction of the industry, and where Luxbox sits within that. We’ve got lots of new contacts who we hope to work with in the future.
The Lux Awards, held on the Thursday evening, was a really fun night – a chance to let our hair down! We were pleased to be able to sponsor the Retail Lighting Project of the Year Award – congratulations to Advanced Power & Lighting who won for their work at the Intu Shopping Centre in Derby.
We were also thrilled to be shortlisted ourselves for the Emergency Lighting Product of the Year category ourselves for our UltraSlim. Sadly, we didn’t win this time – that well-deserved honour went to Eaton. But we were very pleased with our “highly commended” title.
A big thank you to the organisers of the event – as ever, it was all very well organised, well-attended and positive. We’re looking forward to next year!
